Vanderbilt University to use federal funds to help students in need
NASHVILLE, Tenn.--Vanderbilt University will be using the $2.8 million it is receiving as part of the CARES Act to help students in need.
The university says the funds will be used to "directly support students who have demonstrated need and are facing significant financial challenges due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic Latest Nashville News."
Students eligible for the assistance will receive $1,100 and the school estimates about 20% of students will receive funds in the coming days via Student Accounts Press Release Distribution Service.
